Two seriously hurt in car crash

Two men were seriously injured after a collision at the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Walnut Road Sunday night.

A 1994 Nissan Sentra traveling east on Lake Mead struck the driver’s side of a 2005 Toyota Corolla traveling north on Walnut. The Toyota continued through the intersection and ran off the road into an undeveloped lot.

Three men were transported to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit by ambulance.

According to Las Vegas police, the 27-year-old driver of the Toyota is reported to have minor injuries. The Toyota’s 39-year-old passenger is in critical condition and the 55-year-old driver of the Nissan is in serious condition.

The collision is still being investigated by police.
