Allen homers, drives in five runs in 51s’ win at Reno

Brandon Allen went 3-for-5 and drove in five runs to lead the 51s past the Reno Aces 9-4 on Thursday in Reno.

Allen hit a three-run homer with no outs in the fifth inning. It was his 11th homer of the season.

Also for Las Vegas, Matt den Dekker went 3-for-4 and scored three runs, and Wilmer Flores had two RBIs.

The victory gave the 51s (55-40) a split in the four-game series with the Aces (51-44).

Las Vegas returns to Cashman Field to play a doubleheader against the Albuquerque Isotopes at 5:05 p.m. today. The three-game series concludes Saturday before the 51s take a break for the Triple-A All-Star Game.
