3 Unusual Heatwave - Exits a bullet work for this colt by Unusual Heat; suspect the FTS are the best way to go.

4 Points Offthebench - You'll have a big edge over me in seeing the tote board action; has been working well for debut.

Long Shot - 5 Champions Gate

Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

4 My Boy Luke - Showing steady improvement and like that Rafael Bejarano remains loyal; will see a quick pace to chase.

5 Ambitoness - This is a ship-and-win candidate for Mike Mitchell; been waiting to cherry pick her spot.

1 Hopeful Union - I think she likes the stretch out where the pace is a lot softer; speed and the rail work at Del Mar.

2 Creative Cause - Won the most impressive baby race so far this season; he is bred to run 2 turns, very high ceiling.

7 Brigand - Was second-best to a very quick colt in the Juvenile; more than capable of improving and relishing a distance.

7 Skippy Due - Tiny edge in a very difficult race; beaten favorite in last, is capable of better.
