3 Heavenly Haze - The Carla Gaines barn has gotten white hot all of a sudden; FTS from Harris Farms that likes to show their hand early.

4 London Legacy - Been second five times but he does seem camera shy; always runs well but hasn’t passed the one final foe.

Long Shot - 1 Contemplate

Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $35,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

3 Jan’s Spirit - Richard Baltas barn is not only hot, they have an uncoupled entry in here; caveat emptor, keep an eye on Miz Penelope.

4 Sweet Silver - Her speed figures have slowly been improving; she is on the cusp but will need one more step of improvement tonight.

Long Shot - 6 Miz Penelope

Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Affirmed, 3-year-olds

5 Prospect Park - Was highly regarded in his match-ups with Dortmund; given a break by Cliff Sise, this colt still has room to improve.

1 Gimme Da Lute - Bob Baffert usually has more good 3-year-olds than you can shake a stick at; still a high ceiling for this one.

Long Shot - 2 Cyrus Alexander

Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

8 Hard Night’s Day - If you’ve followed me over the years, you know I like cutbacks; this one has also shown ability on the grass already.

5 Margaaret Reay - New York invader is owned by the Zayat Stables, owner of Triple Crown champion American Pharoah; maybe it rubs off.

Long Shot - 9 Gentle Humor

Race 5 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Sugar Spice - Liked her win two back in this $8K class; has speed to lead from pillar to post, catch me if you can.

4 Queen of the Hill - These are her friends in this $8K class; she has some back class to repeat, or even improve, on this win.

Long Shot - 3 Missdang Sally

Race 6 - 1 1/2 miles (turf), $75,000 Possibly Perfect, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

1 Gas Total - Ran very well when second in the Grade 1 Vanity; it wasn’t the strongest Vanity edition, but she has stakes ability.

5 Scooter Bird - Has flunked a couple of trials in Grade 3 stakes; now her main foe is a mare dropping out of a Grade 1 Vanity.

Long Shot - 7 Halljoy

Race 7 - 7 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

9 Lust for Life - In an elongated 1-turn sprint, I do not mind a parking lot post; was left with too much to do late in last.

2 Pay the Debt - Was flattered when Shy Rosa won next time out; she is a hard hitter at this level and a must use in horizontal bets.

Long Shot - 3 Democracy Rules

Race 8 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $20,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

9 Unusually Green - Tiny edge in one of the hardest races on the card; Rafael Bejarano usually figures a way to get a good trip.

7 Know Plans - Tepid chalk in a really wide open race; trainer Philip D’Amato has had good fortune using jockey Tiago Pereira.

Long Shot - 5 Turn On the Pumps

Race 9 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $31,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Annisquam - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; Neil Drysdale taking the blinkers off.

2 Bert’s Baby - Has been nibbling of late but lacking a killer instinct; with each race though she faces a softer group.

Long Shot - 9 Papa’s Lass

Best Bet - 8 Hard Night’s Day (race 4)
