LVH’s Kornegay ‘sick’ for bettors after Packers-Seahawks game

A majority of the wagering action was on Green Bay, but LVH sports book director Jay Kornegay said he was "sick" about the controversial ending to Seattle's 14-12 home victory over the Packers on Monday night.

The Packers, favored by 3 to 3½ points, led by five before Golden Tate's disputed touchdown catch as time expired.

"I thought it was rather clear that the Green Bay defensive back had the ball," Kornegay said. "It was simply a horrendous call.

"First of all, I'm sick to my stomach. I don't care what side we need, you never want to see a game end like that. Most of the tickets were on the Packers."

Kornegay said it reminded him of the Timothy Bradley-Manny Pacquiao fight in June, when controversy surrounded Bradley's win by decision.

"We don't want any controversy, we don't want the integrity of the games questioned. It's not good business," Kornegay said.

Kornegay said he thought it was unlikely Nevada sports books would offer refunds on the game.
