SUPER BOWL BAD BEATS BLOG: Rams win; Bengals cover; Kupp MVP at 6-1

Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams are 4½-point favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, being played at the Rams’ home stadium in Inglewood, California.

Join us throughout the day as we update all the action for the big game. We’ll track as many of the over a thousand available prop bets as we can, along with the live line movement on the game and anything else that pops up.

7:20 p.m.: That’s it. Thanks for reading all season. We’ll be back for March Madness.

7:17 p.m.: Rams receiver Cooper Kupp wins the MVP at 6-1. He went under most of his prop totals — 8½ receptions (8), 107½ receiving yards (92), longest reception 31½ yards (22) — but scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner. He also had a fourth-down run on the final drive that cashed a prop that he will have a rushing attempt at +130.

7:01 p.m.: FINAL: Rams 23, Bengals 20. The Bengals cover as 4½-point underdogs, but the Rams score a TD with 1:25 left to win outright at -200 ML. The game stays under 48½.

6:54 p.m.: Kupp was +330 to score two or more TDs.

6:53 p.m.: The Rams lead. Kupp catches a 1-yard TD pass, and the Rams lead 23-20 with 1:25 left in the fourth quarter. The Rams are -320 on the live line (Bengals +240).

6:45 p.m.: Two-minute warning. The Rams have first-and-goal at the 8 with 1:55 left and are -176 on the live line (Bengals +140).

6:35 p.m.: Under bettors are loving this. The Bengals punt, and the Rams have the ball at their 21 with 6:13 to play. The Bengals are -172 on the live line (Rams +136).

6:26 p.m.: The Rams punt right back with 9:58 left in the fourth quarter. The Bengals are -176 on the live line (Rams +140), spread -3½, total 43½.

6:21 p.m.: The Bengals punt, and the Rams have the ball at their 35 with 11:29 left in the fourth quarter. The Bengals are -116 on the live line (Rams -108), total 46½.

6:16 p.m.: The Rams punt, and the Bengals have the ball at their 16 with 14:05 left in the fourth quarter.

3:42 p.m.: Joe Burrow’s first pass is complete at -220. Tyler Boyd’s first reception goes under 8½ yards (8).

3:38 p.m.: The Rams pick up one first down, then punt. The Bengals have the ball at their 42 with 11:54 left in the first quarter. The Rams are -166 on the live line (Bengals +132), spread -3½, total 47½.

3:36 p.m.: Matthew Stafford’s first pass is complete at -210. Cam Akers’ first reception goes over 5½ yards (7).

3:35 p.m.: The game is underway. The Rams receive.

3:29 p.m.: We have our first winners. The coin toss is heads, the Bengals won the toss, and the Rams called the coin toss incorrectly. Also, the Bengals deferred their option to the second half at -675 at BetMGM.

3:25 p.m.: The game is about to kick off:

2:45 p.m.: The big bets have been flowing in on the Super Bowl, led by Houston furniture store owner Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, who has a total of $9.5 million to win $16.2 million riding on the Bengals to win the game at +170 on the money line.

The same bettor made three $1 million wagers at the Bellagio on Saturday night.
