Big bats help Coronado down Del Sol

Jake Whiteaker was 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and six RBIs Tuesday to lead Coronado to an 18-10 road win over Del Sol.

Josh Bryan was 4-for-5 with three doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs and Jordan Blanchard went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI for the Cougars.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Centennial 7 -- At Centennial, Kris Kaplan's two-run single highlighted the Spartans' six-run sixth inning during their win over the Bulldogs.

Kaplan was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Kody Gorden went 3-for-4 for Cimarron.

Cheyenne 11, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Shadow Ridge, Joel Armstrong pitched a five-inning two-hitter with eight strikeouts as the Desert Shields beat the Mustangs.

Robert Weekly was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs and Jonathan Taylor was 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Cheyenne.

Green Valley 13, Liberty 3 -- At Green Valley, Matt Harrison went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and five RBIs to lead the Gators to a five-inning win over the Patriots.

Green Valley's Kyle Konicek was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs.

Basic 15, Vo-Tech 0 -- At Vo-Tech, Nick Feher went 2-for-3 with four runs scored and four RBIs to help the Wolves gain a five-inning victory.

John Anderson had a double and a home run for Basic.

Silverado 27, Foothill 1 -- At Foothill, Chase Bradford went 3-for-4 with a double, five runs scored and five RBIs as the Skyhawks routed the Falcons.

Bradford also picked up the win, allowing an unearned run on two hits in four innings.

Justin Rainville was 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs for Silverado, which had 30 hits.

Palo Verde 14, Mojave 0 -- At Mojave, Mark Ludwig gave up just two hits and had seven strikeouts and no walks as the Panthers defeated the Rattlers in five innings.

Jordan Worley was 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles, five RBIs and three runs scored. Felipe Gamez was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Faith Lutheran 9-11, Pahrump Valley 2-7 -- At Faith Lutheran, Tyler Iodence went 6-for-7 to led the Crusaders to a doubleheader sweep.

Iodence and Terry Unruh each threw four-hitters for Faith Lutheran.

Mountain View 15-5, Beatty 5-6 -- At Beatty, Anthony Regalado's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh in the second game gave the Hornets a split of a doubleheader.

Craig Sacra had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Saints to the win in the first game.

Boulder City 14-4, Moapa Valley 8-0 -- At Boulder City, Brett Moravec pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the second game to give the Eagles a doubleheader sweep.

Justin Landerman went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs scored in the first game for Boulder City.
