Round 12: Mayweather looks confident in the fact he has done enough already. Pacquiao likely needs a knockout, but can’t really figure out how to make that happen. Mayweather lands two solid rights as Pacquiao tries to move in close. Pacquiao lands two lefts, though not hard enough to do damage. Mayweather raises his hands in celebration with 10 seconds remaining. He wins the round and takes it 7-5 at worst. Most likely at least 8-4 on the scorecards. Decision upcoming

Round 11: Mayweather pushes the pace early in the round and lands several hard punches. Begins to settle back into a defensive posture after the first minute. Pacquiao doesn’t have much of an answer. Pacquiao takes him to the corner and begins another of his big flurries, but can’t land a whole lot once again. Mayweather a big right to punish Pacquiao for his efforts. Lunging right from Mayweather misses and he begins to taunt him a bit at the end of the round. Mayweather looks as if he believes he is winning comfortably as he takes the 11th round.

Round 10: Pacquiao typically lands at close to 40 percent of his punches, while Mayweather opponents land at about 19 percent. Through nine rounds, Pacquiao was landing at 18 percent. Numbers are certainly in Mayweather’s favor. Mayweather has Pacquiao well-scouted and at times is one step ahead of how Pacquiao is trying to attack. Pacquiao certainly more active in the tenth, but he is mostly chasing Mayweather around and hoping to catch him. Pacquiao wasn’t able to land a whole lot, but Mayweather was largely inactive in the round and loses the round. Championship rounds upcoming.

Round 9: Pacquiao needs to be more active and he is early in the ninth round. He’s throwing more punches, though not many are landing. Still, the activity Pacquiao has lacked in the last two rounds has finally started to return. Mayweather is backed up, but gets away from the ropes and lands a jab for good measure. Straight right from Mayweather stops Pacquiao from coming forward. Pacquiao gets Mayweather to the corner again with a big shot. Another close round. Mayweather may have won, but Pacquiao at least stopped the momentum that was all starting to go in Mayweather’s favor. Mayweather 5-4 through nine.

Round 8: Mayweather lands his first big counter-right hand in several rounds. Pacquiao tries to answer by pushing Mayweather to the corner, but he’s out immediately. Mayweather lands a hook, then follows with another as he retreats. Mayweather is staying outside of Pacquiao’s range now and Pacquiao just can’t hit him. Very good round for Mayweather.

Round 7: Mayweather once again answers an aggressive Pacquiao round by slowing the fight down and controlling the distance with his jab. Pacquiao lands a big left in the final minute, and nearly lands an overhand right against the ropes. Mayweather appeared to be in control of the action for most of the round and that resonates with the judges even if it’s not exciting. Mayweather gets the round. He’s down 4-3 on our scorecard, but most likely won round three in retrospect.

Round 6: Pace had been starting to favor Mayweather, but Pacquiao is active once again. Lands a big left to open the sixth. Mayweather is warned once again for holding. Pacquiao lands a big shot and backs Mayweather up once again. Pacquiao has Mayweather against the ropes and once again throws a barrage of punches with both hands. Mayweather covers up and just shakes his head and says, “Nope,” repeatedly. Another aggressive round for Pacquiao, who takes the round. Media scores all over the place after six, but it’s close.

Round 5: Pacquiao barely misses a big right hook. He’s definitely been the aggressor since round two. Mayweather lands a right hand and another. Pacquiao slips in a nice jab. Mayweather lands a right and backs out before Pacquiao can answer. Mayweather settling back into his rhythm as he lands a left and ducks under the counter. Pacquiao almost appears to take the round off. Mayweather wins a clear round.

Round 4: Pacquiao backs Mayweather up to the ropes and unleashes a barrage of punches. Mayweather covers up and blocks most of them as he typically does, but several punches get through. Mayweather definitely felt a couple of them and it has affected him. Pacquiao takes the fourth and could be up 3-1, though the third round was very close.

Round 3: Body shot from Mayweather. Pacquiao looks to Kenny Bayless to protest the punch was low. Bayless tells Mayweather to keep them up. Huge swing by Pacquiao appears to miss. Pacquiao active once again and Mayweather is staying in the corners for longer now. Mayweather locks in a side headlock and throws a punch and the two are quickly broken up by Bayless. Mayweather back to the center and landing while Pacquiao whiffs. Pacquiao throws a combination with about five punches, landing one. Pacquiao smiling as round ends. Mayweather stares him down. Pacquiao barely gets the round as aggressor.

Round 2: Pacquiao moving better to start second round. Most of the first was fought in the center, but Pacquiao has at least momentarily cut off the ring and pushed Mayweather to the corner. Two good punches landed by Mayweather in the corner. Mayweather grabs Pacquiao’s head and pushes it down. Pacquiao lands two good combinations in the final moments and wins the second round.

Round 1: Pacquiao makes first move forward and pays the price with a big right from Mayweather. Pacquiao is way outside the range and Mayweather lands another big right. Pacquiao finally lands a solid punch late in round, but 10-9 opening round for Mayweather.

Only real surprise during the pre-fight festivities was the Burger King walking out with Floyd Mayweather.
Yes, the Burger King character from the fast-foot joint.
Of course, he was joined on the a walk by Justin Bieber, a usual member of the Mayweather entourage.
He walked out to “Ima Boss” by Meek Mill, featuring Rick Ross.
Pacquiao walked to a song he wrote himself.

The undercard has concluded and it’s nearly main-event time at the MGM Grand Garden.
It looks like there will be a bit of a delay in getting things started, though.
This is expected to be the most ordered pay-per-view event of all time and several cable and satellite companies are experiencing issues with so many people trying to purchase the program at once.

Ben Affleck, Christian Bale and Michael Keaton have all arrived to watch Floyd Mayweather take on Manny Pacquiao.
All three men have played the superhero on the big screen, but are just fans tonight.

The second and final undercard bout of the broadcast is underway. Leo Santa Cruz is a huge favorite and with good reason.
He’s cruising early.
Most of the eyes in the arena have already turned to the celebrity arrivals as it’s closing in on the final hour before Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather walk to the ring.
The first wave through the doors included Jimmy Kimmel, who most likely returned home to Las Vegas to root on his friend Pacquiao.
Clint Eastwood and Denzel Washington have also made their way in to the building.
NBA star Russell Westbrook, who doesn’t have the burden of competing for an NBA title this year with the Thunder out of the playoffs, is also here.

With the fight of the century now just hours away, the biggest current battle might be on the streets of Las Vegas.
Gridlock reigns on the roads surrounding the MGM Grand.
It’s not limited to just automobiles, either. Several complaints of people suffering the indignity of having their private planes forced to land in North Las Vegas due to overcrowding at the Las Vegas Executive Air Terminal have been overheard at the MGM.
Oh, the humanity.
Those still hoping to make it down to the area would be advised to find alternate means of transportation.
One suggestion would be to park at one of the north Strip hotels and take the monorail. It’s just $1 for locals and drops off right in front of the arena.
Perhaps all the traffic is holding people back from getting inside the arena. As the broadcast begins with just two fights before the main event, there are a whole lot of empty seats here.
