Chaparral edges Canyon Springs in girls tennis

It took two tiebreakers, but Chaparral's girls tennis team finally edged host Canyon Springs 10-9 on Thursday.
After the teams split the 18 sets, they broke even in games in the tiebreaker. Chaparral was a 33-28 winner on total points.
Kelly Terry and Kiara Miller each were 2-0 in singles for Chaparral.
Rebecca Breland was 3-0 in singles for Canyon Springs.
At Durango, Danica Ingwaldson and Katy Daly each went 3-0 in singles as Sierra Vista downed Durango 15-3.
At Del Sol, Farwa Husain and Maria Spalla each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Dragons to a 12-6 win over Basic.
At Desert Pines, the doubles team of Maria Guanlao and Bryanna Gabulto went 3-0 as Eldorado won 13-5.
At Bonanza, Claire Brantley was 3-0 for singles to help Spring Valley to a 10-8 win over the Bengals.
Bonanza's Isabella Minoli and Samantha Niemand were 3-0 in doubles.
At Cimarron-Memorial, Arbor View won a tiebreaker 5-1 to pull out a 10-9 victory.
Mara Wiesser and Beth Ignatiuk were 3-0 in doubles for Arbor View.
Kate Johnesee and Starlyn Thomas each went 3-0 in singles for Cimarron.
At Las Vegas, Val Shively, Danica Engstrom and Andy Garcia each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Wildcats over Moapa Valley 15-3.
At Lorenzi Park, Ciera Cortney was 3-0 in singles to help Gorman defeat Western 17-1.
At Rancho, Karina Calderon was 3-0 in singles as the Rams defeated Valley 11-7.
Kristen Neubauer and Abony Moore went 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

At Lorenzi Park, Bishop Gorman blanked Western 18-0.
Joey Javier and Tyler Tuckey each went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Brent Martelli and Mark Pelka and Danny Pecoraro and Ryan Hidajat both were 2-0.
At Canyon Springs, Stan Breland, Patrick Norman and Josh Jones each went 3-0 in singles to help the Pioneers beat Chaparral 12-6.
Ishmail Gibson and James Jones were 3-0 in doubles for Canyon Springs. Chaparral's Ed Ureta and Ryan Kaspari went 2-1 in doubles.
At Durango, Sierra Vista was a 15-3 winner over the Trailblazers.
Scott McCreary was 3-0 in singles for Durango.
At Rancho, Joe Ponuncialman was 3-0 in singles as Valley beat the Rams 12-6.
Daniel Duan and Travis Barstcort combined to go 3-0 in doubles for the Vikings.
At Bonanza, Tommy Lettero and Laurent Gontier each went 2-0 in singles as the Bengals beat Spring Valley 15-3.
At Del Sol, Darren Parke and John Anderson combined to go 3-0 in doubles as Basic routed the Dragons 16-2.
Marcus Romero and Brett Wellman each went 3-0 in singles for the Wolves.
