Dove releases Super Bowl ad geared toward dads
“What makes a man stronger?” This is the question posed in the Super Bowl ad Dove released Tuesday. The ad provides a strong visual that reminds viewers of the attentive men in their lives.
From rescuing a son on the monkey bars to dancing with a daughter on her wedding day, the dads in the video show that contrary to stereotypical responses, it is actually caring that makes a man stronger.
“Ninety percent of men around the world say that their caring side is part of their masculinity and strength,” the video’s YouTube description states. “Let’s acknowledge the caring side of men and celebrate their #RealStrength as a true sign of masculinity.”
Although the video is almost identical to the one the company ran for Father’s Day 2014, it will likely continue to evoke nostalgic responses.
