The Las Vegas Bowl will help commemorate its 25th anniversary by inducting former player Marshawn Lynch, broadcaster Brent Musburger and founder Rob Dondero into its Hall of Fame in December, bowl executive director John Saccenti announced Thursday at a bowl ticket kickoff luncheon at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Ex-California running back Lynch earned Las Vegas Bowl Most Valuable Player honors in 2005, Musburger has called six of the games here for ESPN and ABC and Dondero, executive vice-president of R&R Partners, helped make the game a reality 25 years ago.
The game, which will feature the top choice from the Mountain West against the sixth pick from the Pac-12 Conference, is scheduled for Dec. 17 at Sam Boyd Stadium and will be televised by ABC. Tickets range from $35 to $250 and are available at www.lvbowl.com.
The inaugural Las Vegas Bowl Hall of Fame class, inducted five years ago, featured former NFL running back Steven Jackson, quarterback Anthony Calvillo, former coach John Robinson and founder Rossi Ralenkotter.
