Greetings from Glendale

Media Day at the Super Bowl hasn't been about the media in forever. It's a race for attention, of wondering just how little those TV Azteca reporters can wear before the FCC intervenes.

Come to think of it, maybe that's one way The Mtn. can get people to watch.

Tuesday was no different. The Patriots and Giants answered questions for an hour each at University of Phoenix Stadium while the typical nut jobs craved any camera's glare. There was the astrologer whose full-body costume included a gold turban and who obviously failed basic math, predicting the Patriots would win by 5 points -- 38-32. There was the guy answering questions with a hand puppet. There was former "American Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler shamelessly pushing her new CD while posing as a "Tonight Show" correspondent.

Then there was Ines Gomez Mont from TV Azteca. She dressed as a bride and went around proposing to players. Tom Brady declined, but Patriots linebacker Junior Seau wasn't so quick to refuse.

Said Seau: "Can I call you later?"

Wish you were here, Ed Graney
