Four-run fourth inning dooms 51s in loss at Tacoma

Gabriel Noriega hit a go-ahead two-run double and scored on Abraham Almonte’s single as Tacoma scored four times in the fourth inning in a 6-4 win over Las Vegas in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday night in Tacoma, Wash.

The 51s’ Wilmer Flores went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, including a two-run homer in the third inning. Allan Dykstra followed with a solo shot for the 51s (59-47).

Nick Franklin drove in two runs and Almonte scored three times for the Rainiers (51-53).

Las Vegas loaded the bases in the ninth, but Josh Satin flied out to end the game.

The teams wrap up a five-game series at 7:05 p.m. today.
