Veteran PGA Tour pro May heads list of inductees for Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame

Veteran PGA Tour professional Bob May heads a list of four inductees to be enshrined into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame on Oct. 12 at TPC Summerlin.

May, who lost to Tiger Woods in a playoff at the 2000 PGA Championship, runs the Bob May Golf Academy at Silverstone Golf Club. Joining him in the hall of fame class will be longtime local amateur player Brenda Knott; Bill Walters, whose Walters Golf operates three local courses; and longtime local golf supporter Ray Norvell.

The hall will hold its Classic Pro-Am for the class of 2013 on July 1 at Cascata Golf Club. Both the Pro-Am and the induction ceremonies are open to the public. For more information, go to the hall’s website, LasVegasGolfHOF.com.
