In Case You Missed It: ‘Jingle Bells’ the NBA way

The NBA is at it again — bringing us some Christmas cheer in November.

To promote its super Christmas quintuple-header, the NBA marketing department once again got its creative juices flowing and came up with “Jingle Hoops” starring the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, the Houston Rockets’ James Harden and his beard, the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Steve Nash — bad back and all — shooting threes to the tune of “Jingle Bells.”

In “Jingle Hoops,” the sequel to “Carol of the Balls,” you’ll notice the players are wearing the NBA’s special-edition Christmas Day uniforms featuring solid team colors and the “BIG logo.”

And yes, those are sleeves.

If you’re not too distracted by the sleeves, you may notice the sultry sounds of one of your favorite Christmas songs being played as the balls swish through the nets jingling bells along the way.

You also get a guest appearance by a man dressed in red, and it’s not who you think. Here’s a hint: He’s replaced the white beard with a white headband.

Now, don’t be too hard on the NBA for those ridiculous-looking sleeved jerseys. Just think back to that ugly sweater you wore to the Christmas party.

Call it even.
