Kruger, Oklahoma to play Washington at MGM Grand Garden
Former UNLV basketball coach Lon Kruger will bring his Oklahoma team to Las Vegas this season for a one-day event at the MGM Grand Garden that includes UNLV.
The MGM Grand Showcase features two games Dec. 20. The Rebels will meet Utah, and Oklahoma will play Washington, which features sophomore point guard Nigel Williams-Goss of Findlay Prep. Both games will be nationally televised.
Another event will be played at the hotel-casino from Nov. 24 to 26. The MGM Grand Main Event is an eight-team tournament that includes Auburn, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Milwaukee and Louisiana. The final team has yet to be announced.
