After an extended feeling out process, it didn’t take long for Anderson Silva to knock out Vitor Belfort and retain the Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight title.
Rich Franklin captured the Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight title and defended the belt twice. Since losing the title in 2006, Franklin has yet to regain the belt. The 36-year-old will try to take the next step toward a potential light heavyweight title shot when he meets Las Vegan Forrest Griffin in UFC 126 on Saturday at Mandalay Bay.
There was no question about Evan Dunham’s second Ultimate Fighting Championship defeat.
