NFL clears accused locker room bully to sign, play
An NFL investigation determined Incognito and two other Miami offensive linemen engaged in persistent harassment of teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team in the middle of last season.
The NFL cleared former Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito for a return to full activity and participate in regular season games, multiple media outlets reported Monday.
The Dolphins had placed Incognito on paid suspension as a result of his part in the bullying scandal involving Jonathan Martin. NFL officials needed to review the investigation before deciding whether to allow Incognito to sign with a team.
Incognito is now free to sign with a team and can play immediately.
Incognito was scheduled to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, and several other teams appear to be interested.
