Rebels open Mountain West basketball season Dec. 31 at Wyoming

The UNLV men’s basketball team will be spending New Year’s Eve in Laramie, Wyo.

The Rebels will open their Mountain West season Dec. 31 at Wyoming. The complete conference schedule was released Wednesday; UNLV’s nonconference schedule was released in June.

After playing at Wyoming, the Rebels will close out their nonconference schedule with a CBS nationally televised game Jan. 4 at Kansas before meeting UNR on Jan. 7 in their conference home opener.

UNLV will play two conference opponents just once this season. They play at Colorado State on Feb. 7 and will host Fresno State on Feb. 10.

Seventeen of the Rebels’ 18 conference games will be televised on ESPN networks or CBS Sports Network.
