National Finals Rodeo
Another December, another trip to Las Vegas. I’m proud to be joining the Review-Journal staff, albeit only for a short while, to help bring you insight and coverage of the spectacle that is the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo for the better part of the next two weeks. The R-J has historically done a great job covering the “Super Bowl of Rodeo,” and I’m excited to be able to add the paper to my growing list of bylines and enhance the overall coverage package.
Following are breakdowns of each championship on the line at the 2012 National Finals Rodeo, with the list of qualifiers in each event, along with overviews of each title race and event descriptions.
It was a special night of saddle bronc riding for the Wright brothers, Jesse and Cody, who claimed the National Finals Rodeo title and 10th go-round in the event, respectively, Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Ranching and farming lifestyles for decades were handed down to the next generation.
