Spelman, Durango outlast Palo Verde in girls volleyball

Hayley Spelman had 35 kills to lead Durango to a 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 15-9 win over host Palo Verde on Thursday.
Jordan Nitz added nine kills for Durango, and Markie Malone had 43 assists for the Trailblazers
Jasmin White had 16 kills and five digs for Palo Verde. Nicole Gneiting added 14 kills and four blocks, and Tianna Gadbaw had 14 digs for the Panthers.
At Centennial, Shelby Scott had 20 digs and five aces, and teammate Jenny Singer added 11 kills and three aces to help Coronado to a 25-20, 25-13, 25-15 win over the Bulldogs.
Centennial's Amanda Valvo had 12 digs, and Johnna Brown had six digs, five kills and four blocks to for the Bulldogs.
At Foothill, Shannon Walling had 10 kills and seven aces to lead Chaparral to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-19 win over the Falcons.
Sarah Concannon had 23 assists for the Cowboys. Anna Ureno served nine aces for Foothill.
At Sierra Vista, Green Valley rallied for a 22-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-14 win over the Lions.
Emma Johnson had seven kills and seven aces for the Gators. Sydney Brozovich added eight kills and five blocks, and Jena Chavez had 25 assists and three aces for Green Valley.
Jessica Mojica had 27 assists and three aces for the Lions, and Breana Mason added seven kills and eight digs.
At Basic, Giulia Spolworthy had six blocks and five kills and Stephanie Cinkovich six kills and five digs as Basic notched a 25-16, 25-13, 26-24 victory over Arbor View.
Arbor View's Stacy Brinkman had eight kills and six digs, and Ashley Ellioit had 23 digs for the Aggies.
At Tech, Boulder City posted a 25-9, 25-9, 25-10 win over the Roadrunners.
