TONIGHT’S MWC PICKS
San Diego State (minus 6.5) at Wyoming: I covered the Aztecs under Steve Fisher for seven seasons, and never did I come close to seeing the level of defense SDSU is playing this season. Wyoming’s best result remains an overtime loss at Utah State, pretty telling when you consider the Cowboys have 11 wins. PICK: SDSU
UNLV (minus-8) at Colorado State: The Rebels are struggling from the free-throw line, struggling guarding people off the dribble, struggling to rebound, struggling to stay healthy. Which, considering the opponent, makes this an easy one. PICK: UNLV.
Utah (minus-7.5) at Air Force: These are not Joe Scott’s Falcons. Not even a poor man’s version. Air Force has lost both its conference games by an average score of 69-48. Eight points is a lot to give in Colorado Springs given how deliberate Air Force plays, but not a lot when you consider Luke Nevill is 10 feet taller than any Falcons' player. PICK: UTAH
