New Mexico rallies for 10-8 baseball victory over UNLV

Carl Stajduhar had a home run, a double and five RBIs to lead New Mexico to a 10-8 win over UNLV in a Mountain West baseball game Saturday at Wilson Stadium.
Jack Zoellner went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for the Lobos (23-15, 13-7), who won their seventh straight. Chris DeVito, Danny Collier and Dalton Bowers each had three of New Mexico’s 19 hits.
Edgar Montes went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs for the Rebels (15-22, 2-15), who led 3-0 after the first inning and 4-3 after the second. The Lobos then scored four runs in the third and never trailed.
Erik VanMeetren had two doubles, two RBIs and two runs, and Joey Swanner, Payton Squier and Nick Rodriguez also had two hits apiece for UNLV, which totaled 13 hits.
Rebels starter Ben Wright (0-2) was charged with nine runs on 10 hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out three.
The three-game series concludes at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
