UNLV baseball comes up short against No. 8 Arizona State

No. 8 Arizona State jumped on the UNLV baseball team with five runs in the first four innings, then held on to beat the Rebels 5-2 on Wednesday in Tempe, Ariz.
The Rebels (27-13) scored twice in the fifth inning on singles by T.J. White and Brandon Bayardi.
UNLV next plays at No. 24 New Mexico in a three-game Mountain West series that begins Friday. Arizona State is 25-12-1.
