UNLV men’s golf team tied for fourth in Hawaii tournament

The UNLV men's golf team shot a second-round 3-under-par 285 for a two-round total of 5-over 581 in the John A. Burns Intercollegiate at Kauai's Wailua Golf Course.

The Rebels moved up five spots in the standings and are tied for fourth in the 17-team field.

Texas leads after a second-round 284 and has a two-round score of 16-under 560. Next are California (567) and Texas A&M (577). UNLV is tied with Washington State.

California sophomore K.K. Limbhasut is the individual leader by three strokes at 7-under 137.

Sophomore John Oda paces the Rebels at 2-under 142, which is tied for eighth. UNLV senior Zane Thomas is tied for 18th at 144.

Other Rebels in the 97-golfer field include sophomore Shintaro Ban (145, t-25th), freshman Harry Hall (150, t-48th) and senior AJ McInerney (152, t-59th).
