UNLV men’s soccer loses to Cal State Fullerton; volleyball team wins in Texas
The UNLV men's soccer team struggled defensively in a 5-1 loss to Cal State Fullerton at the Labor Day Classic in Northridge, Calif.
Salvador Bernal scored off an assist from Jonny Espinoza in the 13th minute for UNLV (1-2), which was outshot 16-8.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
The UNLV volleyball team won its third straight match at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, rallying to beat Northwestern State, 3-2 (25-19, 18-25, 26-28, 25-13, 15-13).
Stephanie Thelen (44 assists, 12 digs), Elisa Brochado (13 kills, 12 digs) and Daryn Glenn (11 kills, 10 digs) paced the Rebels (3-3) with double-double performances.
