SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Oscar Bellfield scored 10 points but UNLV played its worst half of the season and fell behind Santa Clara 39-31 tonight.
The Broncos, without injured leading scorer Kevin Foster, outscored the Rebels 15-3 on free throws and held a 16-9 advantage in rebounds.
Bellfield’s 3-pointer put UNLV up 25-24 with 6:09 left, but Santa Clara closed the half with a big run led by Marc Trasolini.
