The UNLV basketball team apparently has found its comfort zone in its six-game exhibition tour of Australia, and it’s from 3-point range.
Rested and no longer rubber-legged from its 19-hour trip two days earlier, UNLV’s men’s basketball team broke through with a 77-75 victory over the Illawarra Seahawks on Friday at Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
Senior forward Joe Darger turned in a strong effort — 15 points and 12 rebounds — but UNLV’s basketball team lost the opener of its six-game exhibition tour of Australia, falling 72-64 to the Sutherland Sharks on Thursday in Sutherland, Australia.
