Career Highlights:
■ The 5-foot-10-inch left-handed guard played on the Rebels' first team when the school was becoming established as Nevada Southern University.
■ Scored 837 points in 63 games for a career scoring average of 13.3 per game.
Quotable: "For some reason I was faster than most players. One of the papers called me 'the dribbling, driving wizard.' I was what you would call a 50-percent shooter from the top of the key." -- Jansen
Currently: Jansen lives in his hometown of Effingham, Ill., with his wife of 43 years, Kay. They have one son, two daughters and seven grandchildren. Jansen owned J&J Ventures, an amusement and vending business, for more than 30 years.
