Oregon defensive end says he will play for Rebels, not Idaho

Marcell Frazier, a defensive end who had committed to Idaho, instead said today he will play football at UNLV.

He said he liked the opportunity to play right away for the Rebels, who must replace starters at both end positions. Idaho returns a senior and a player who redshirted.

Frazier (6 feet 5 inches, 220 pounds), canceled a trip to Colorado State this weekend. The David Douglas High School product in Portland, Ore., said he also received scholarship offers from Montana and Portland State

"I liked the coaches," Frazier said of his trip to UNLV. "They have a lot of experience. I felt confident they're heading in the right direction. I felt from the players I talk to they're heading in the right direction."
