UNLV FOOTBALL CAMP REPORT

■ HELMET STICKER: Sophomore wide receiver Aaron Reed made three nice catches, including one just inside the left sideline.

■ NEWS AND NOTES: Junior quarterback Mike Clausen left practice after taking a hit, but coach Bobby Hauck said he should return Wednesday. ... Freshman wide receiver Marcus Sullivan did not practice because of a personal reason, but Hauck said he should be back Wednesday as well. ... Will Chandler blocked a field-goal attempt that fellow junior Deante Purvis returned for a touchdown. ... Senior quarterback Omar Clayton completed a 63-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Michael Johnson, and redshirt freshman QB Caleb Herring threw a 48-yard pass to sophomore wideout Mark Barefield.

■ COACH-SPEAK: "I thought we came out a little flat. We picked it up in the end. The team periods were good. I didn't like our intensity or our tempo at certain points of practice." -- Hauck on Monday's practice
