Coronado shot a second-day 19-over 307 for a two-day total of 27-over 603 to win the Class 5A boys state golf championship at Coyote Springs Golf Club in Moapa Valley.

Basic upset favored Bishop Gorman twice last week to win the Class 5A Southern Region title. The Wolves will meet Bishop Manogue on Thursday in the state tournament.

The Las Vegas High boys golf team won the Class 4A championship by 54 strokes over runner-up Centennial. Doral Academy’s Bradley Bourn took the individual crown.

Shadow Ridge and Green Valley have played twice this season, with the Mustangs winning both matches. They will play for the Class 5A boys volleyball title Wednesday.
Shadow Ridge’s baseball team has won 24 straight games, with its last loss to Legacy. They will play Wednesday in the Class 4A state tournament at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Bishop Gorman is the clear favorite in the Class 4A state softball tournament and will play Legacy in the winners bracket Wednesday at College of Southern Nevada.
Bishop Gorman and Coronado tied for the Class 5A Southern Region golf title last week and are favored to win the state tournament, which begins Tuesday.

The Meadows defeated Lake Mead twice Saturday to win the Class 2A Southern Region baseball title. Needles beat The Meadows to claim the softball crown.
The Canyon Springs boys did most of their damage in five events, and the Palo Verde girls edged Shadow Ridge to win the Class 4A state track and field meet.
