The $3 billion grant for the Las Vegas-to-Southern California high-speed rail project has been signed by the Federal Railroad Administration.
Brightline
The train sets can fit 450 people each, and can reach speeds of up to 220 mph, allowing for a trip between Las Vegas and the Rancho Cucamonga station to take 2 hours.
The 54-mile high-speed rail line would serve as a connector between the planned Brightline West Victor Valley Station and the California High-Speed Rail in Palmdale, California.
The production facility in North Las Vegas will play a role in the Brightline West high-speed rail project between Southern Nevada and Southern California.
With the project’s different backers and plans over the years, some might need a refresher on just all what the long-awaited project entails.
The trains, designed to go up to 220 mph, will be able to take Brightline West passengers between Las Vegas and Southern California in less than two hours.
