The Las Vegas police officer who shot and killed a disabled war veteran Monday had a lengthy history of citizen complaints and internal discipline, sources told the Review-Journal on Tuesday.

A breakdown in communication between police supervisors and the firing officer might have contributed to the shooting Monday of disabled veteran Stanley Gibson, multiple department sources said.
