Las Vegas developer J Dapper has reached a deal to buy the shuttered Huntridge Theater for $4 million. The run-down, World War II-era building needs a lot of work. Dapper wants to renovate the theater and envisions building apartments and a restaurant next to it. Multiple revival plans have come and gone over the years for the Huntridge. But supporters said they are excited about Dapper’s acquisition plan.
A retail and office project with a movie theater is planned across the street from IKEA. The southwest Las Vegas project, called The Bend, would bring entertainment and shops to a fast-growing area. Its name is a spin on The Curve, a failed mixed-use project that was supposed to be built across the street.
