Valley Electric CEO Tom Husted and Nevada U.S. Senator Harry Reid unveiled a new 80-acre “community solar generation project” to be managed by Pahrump-based Valley Electric Association. Husted said the 15-megawatt project, to be located at the north end of Pahrump Valley, will create 200 jobs and an unspecified amount of new tax revenue.
