UNLV could not make it out of the quarterfinal round of the 2020 Mountain West conference tournament, after falling 67-61 to Boise State on Thursday.
The Runnin’ Rebels are running straight back home after losing to SDSU for the third time this season, 63-55, in the quarterfinal of the 2019 Mountain West basketball tournament.
UNLV successfully swept Boise State this season, after beating the Broncos in overtime 85-81. The team has just one regular-season game left (on the road at Colorado State) but will likely secure the No. 5 seed and a first-round bye in this year’s Mountain West basketball tournament. A’Shanti Coleman’s putback went in at the buzzer making Boise State the women’s Mountain West champions. They defeated UNR, 62-60.
UNLV edged past Air Force in overtime, 97-90, to advance to the Mountain West tournament quarterfinal against Nevada on Thursday.
