Michael Mersch, Conor McGregor’s lawyer who appeared on his behalf at the Nevada Athletic Commission, said that “The Notorious” was ready to fight no matter what size the gloves were. The UFC champion faces undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
At their monthly meeting on Aug. 16, the Nevada Athletic Commission voted unanimously to approve the “one time” use of eight ounces gloves for a boxing fight being contested at 154-pounds between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
The Nevada Athletic Commission reduced Nate Diaz’s sanction for his role in the UFC 202 press conference fracas. Diaz and Conor McGregor threw bottles towards each other last August and their actions resulted in disciplinary measures.
