Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts, was accused of sexual misconduct by several employees in a Wall Street Journal story published last month. Wynn faced allegations of pressuring a waitress into sex about 30 years ago, allegedly telling his employee he had “never had a grandmother before” and wanted “to see how it feels.” A previously undisclosed court filing details additional allegations against Wynn at the time he ran The Mirage. The allegations were the subject of a Review-Journal article that was written in 1998, but the newspaper ordered the report not be published.
Billionaire Steve Wynn faced allegations of pressuring a waitress into sex about 30 years ago. He allegedly told the woman he had “never had a grandmother before” and wanted “to see how it feels,” according to a court document and interviews with the Review-Journal. Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts, was accused of sexual misconduct with several employees in a Wall Street Journal story published last week. Wynn has denied the allegations in the Journal report. The woman, who is now 75, said her supervisor told her she had to have sex with Wynn to keep her job at the Mirage, according to her account and a sworn statement by Earlene Wiggins. Wynn, 76, has not responded to multiple requests from the Review-Journal for an interview.
A sexual harassment investigation forced out Patrick Moers as Henderson’s police chief last year, sources told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The city said his ouster had to do with mailers regarding the police foundation, and classified Moers’ departure as “voluntary.” But sexual harassment allegations against the Police Department aren’t limited to the investigation of Moers. Although no names were given, several police officers have said that sexual harassment is rampant throughout the department. Sources also told the Review-Journal that Assistant City Manager Greg Blackburn is the subject of a sexual harassment investigation in Henderson. Victimized Henderson employees won’t speak up for fear of losing their jobs, multiple sources told the Review-Journal. March told the Review-Journal in December that Henderson’s “culture of fear” is unacceptable. said Mayor Debra March. None of the four council members returned phone calls seeking comments.
Disney isn’t alone in reevaluating its Do Not Disturb policies following the mass shooting. The Orleans Hotel and Casino on the Strip changed its policy on the Do Not Disturb signs and will now check on guests if they have the signs up for two consecutive days. Wynn Resorts Chief Marketing Officer Michael Weaver said in a statement to the Review-Journal in October that Wynn Resorts implemented a 12-hour policy “shortly after the recent tragedy.” Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts Ltd., described the policy to Fox News in October, as “a room goes on ‘Do Not Disturb’ for more than 12 hours, we investigate.”

Formula One racing may be coming to Las Vegas. According to documents obtained by the Review-Journal, Formula One Licensings has filed trademark applications for merchandise and other items related to a proposed Las Vegas Grand Prix A city tourism official said the possibility of Formula One returning to Las Vegas is only speculation at this point, but a Formula One spokesman confirmed Las Vegas is on its radar as a future race site. *quote* The timetable for adding a U.S. race or races to the schedule is not known, nor has a location for a proposed Las Vegas race been identified.
Robin Leach, the longtime famed celebrity journalist and Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist, suffered a transient ischemic attack, also known as a TIA or “mini-stroke.” The incident began last Tuesday while the 76-year-old Leach was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. Leach was taken to the St. Rose Dominican Siena ICU immediately upon his return, where he remained until Monday afternoon, when he was transferred to the hospital’s Lima Rehab Facility in Henderson. Leach said he told the medical staff Monday afternoon that he was eager to return to full-time work.
