Toronto Attack Suspect Charged in Van Attack According to the Associated Press, 25-year-old Alek Minassian was charged with 10 counts of 1st degree murder and 13 counts of attempted murder. Minassian appeared in court Tuesday morning after mowing down and killing 10 people in a rented van Monday in downtown Toronto. 15 others were also injured in the attack. Authorities have not announced a motive. “As was indicated last night by our public security minister, at this time we have no reason to suspect that there is any national security element to this attack, but obviously the investigations continue.” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Austin police confirm that a suspect in a spate of bombing attacks that left the Texas capital on edge for nearly three weeks died Wednesday morning. As law enforcement closed in on the 24-year-old man, he detonated a device inside his car. The blast injured a SWAT officer. Another officer fired his weapon. Austin police caught a break when the suspect shipped an explosive device via FedEx on Tuesday. A search warrant was obtained based on video from the FedEx distribution center and other store receipts.
Police were able to inspect the suspect’s Google search history, ultimately tracking his location. Authorities do not know if the suspect worked alone. They also don’t know his motives.

Detectives Seek To Identify Burglary Suspect

Spring Valley Area Command Patrol Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male who has been responsible for approximately eight burglaries in the area of Oakey Boulevard and Rancho Drive since January 2018. During these incidents, the suspect makes entry through a rear window or a sliding patio backdoor. The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age, slender with an athletic build. A vehicle of interest in these incidents is described as a white Nissan Pathfinder with a red and white bumper sticker.
