On Monday, June 15, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
protects LBGTQ+ workers from being discriminated against at work. The original law states that it is illegal for employers to discriminate against employees for a number of reasons, including a person’s sex. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
Every time someone celebrates the number of female elected officials in Nevada, they undercut the transgender movement.
The transgender regulations proposed by the Clark County School District violate the privacy rights of students. If passed, those regulations will allow teachers to use curriculum that exposes even young students to transgender concepts. School districts also don’t have the right to compel speech. That’s according to Karen England, executive director of Nevada Family Alliance.
For the second time this year, the Clark County School Board postponed a meeting to discuss a decision on drafting a gender-diverse policy.
