The outbreak was first reported in June. The hotel’s water system continues to be cleaned and tested. Legionnaires’ spreads when water droplets in the air containing the Legionella bacteria are inhaled. Prompt treatment with antibiotics usually cures Legionnaires’, but left untreated it can be fatal.
