In a viral video circulating on Facebook, Silveria addressed his cadets, saying “If you can’t treat someone from another race or different color skin with dignity and respect, then you need to get out.” According to CNN affiliate KRDO, the message “Go home,” followed by the N-word, was written in black marker on the message boards of five black cadet candidates. The academy reported it will conduct an investigation. “This is our institution, and no one can take away our values.”
