‘Smallville’ Actress Allison Mack Arrested in Connection to Sex Cult Mack was arrested and charged on Friday with helping to recruit people for NXIVM, an alleged self-help cult where women were branded and convinced to have sex. Prosecutors say that Mack helped to bring the women into the cult under the guise of women empowerment. NXIVM’s leader, Keith Raniere, is accused of establishing a secret sex cult and branding women, his “slaves”, with his initials. Mack is reportedly accused of receiving payment for convincing at least two women to have sex with Raniere. She was indicted on sex trafficking charges, along with the conspiracy to commit forced labor. If convicted, she faces 15 years in prison.
