Tim Jitloff will compete in the giant slalom on Feb. 18 in the Winter Olympics. Jitloff was born in San Jose and raised in Truckee before moving to Reno at 18. He mainly lives in Germany now, though his parents still live in Reno. Jitloff started skiing at two or three and competed in his first race at five. Jitloff was named to the 2010 Olympic team but did not compete. He raced in the 2014 Olympics, finishing 15th in the giant slalom.
