Downtown Summerlin steakhouse closed temporarily after fire

Updated September 28, 2022 - 12:12 pm

Harlø Steakhouse & Bar, the Summerlin restaurant from James Beard Award-nominated chef Gina Marinelli, plans to reopen Friday after closing Monday evening because of a small fire in exhaust vents leading to the roof. Managing partner Ivo Angelov confirmed the reopening.

“It was minor damage; the fire department came within two minutes. Everyone was evacuated; there were no injuries,” Angelov said, adding the cause of the fire has not been determined.

The steakhouse, at 1720 Festival Plaza Drive, posted on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon about the fire. Marinelli is also chef-partner in La Strega, a coastal Italian restaurant in Summerlin.
