Las Vegas 51s infielder Allan Dykstra has been selected to play for the Pacific Coast League in the annual Triple-A All-Star Game on July 16 in Durham, N.C.
Dykstra is batting .283 with 12 home runs and 56 RBIs. He will be Las Vegas’ lone representative in the game.
Meanwhile, the 51s completed their brief four-game homestand Thursday with a 9-8 win over the Salt Lake Bees at Cashman Field. Las Vegas rallied from a 7-4 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, highlighted by a double-steal with Matt Reynolds taking second base and Matt den Dekker stealing home to put the 51s ahead 8-7.
Josh Satin followed with a double to center field to score Reynolds and give Las Vegas a two-run lead.
The Bees, who had 17 hits, got one run back in the top of the ninth on Ian Stewart’s leadoff home run and then loaded the bases with two outs. But 51s reliever Buddy Carlyle got Luis Jimenez to pop out to third and get John Church (1-1) the win.
The 51s head to Albuquerque today for a four-game series with the Isotopes beginning at 5:05 p.m.
