99 Words About … ‘The Writers’ Room’s’ celebration of TV

Sure, it may sound somewhat incestuous. A Sundance series extolling the virtues of sister channel AMC’s “Breaking Bad.”

But for a show about great writing, there are few better places to start.

“The Writers’ Room” (10 p.m. Monday) focuses on the often-unsung heroes behind some of TV’s most distinctive series. The others: “Parks and Recreation,” “Dexter,” “Game of Thrones,” “American Horror Story” and “New Girl.”

In addition to host Jim Rash (“Community’s” Dean Pelton and an Oscar-winning writer), Bryan Cranston adds some star power to the debut.

For something unscripted, “The Writers’ Room” sure has a way with words.
