‘The Change-Up’ a raunchy comedy

The movie: "The Change-Up"

When: Opening Friday at local theaters

Cast: Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds, Olivia Wilde

Director: David Dobkin

The story: Childhood friends, a married lawyer and a swinging bachelor envy each other's lives -- and get the chance to see how the other half lives when they magically switch bodies.

The buzz: "Freaky Friday" meets "The Hangover" in this raunchy comedy from "Hangover" screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and "Wedding Crashers" director David Dobkin. It's probably a good career move for "Green Lantern" star Reynolds, "Horrible Bosses' " Bateman and "Cowboys & Aliens' " Wilde; so far this summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter, R-rated comedies (led by "Hangover 2," "Bridesmaids" and "Horrible Bosses") have earned more than $1 billion at the box office -- which is more than the season's high-profile superhero movies, including "Green Lantern."
