Football Hall of Famer joins Harrah's board

Lynn Swann, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was one of three people named on Tuesday to Harrah's Entertainment's board of directors.

The 56-year-old Swann is president of his own marketing and communications consulting firm as well as being a director for H.J. Heinz Co. and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Co.

Harrah's Vice Chairman Chuck Atwood, 59, was also named to the board, along with former Gap Chief Executive Officer Jeanne Jackson, 56, and Christopher Williams, 50, president and CEO of investment bank Williams Capital Group.

The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
